NetEnt has just recently informed, that the company no longer offers its services to the three different online casinos in Canada.
The casinos that will not include NetEnt’s titles in their offer anymore are: Guts Casino, Betspin Casino and Rizk Casino, all three managed by Malta based Gaming Innovation.
The reason why the company has made such a decision is the fact that the gambling regulations in Canada are considered to be a ‘bit fuzzy’, so there is the possibility to interpret it differently. Local gaming corporations are responsible for all online gaming options. All other gaming providers still remain in Canada, because they have no offices based there.
Other slot games providers are still offering their wide array of different games in Canada, while NetEnt is withdrawing their games and services from the market, which influences players a lot, as not only will the company’s most famous title disappear, but also all the bonuses offered in NetEnt powered online casinos will disappear as well.
However, NetEnt seems to be not the only slot games provider to make a decision of stopping catering slots in Canada. William Hill closed its operations back in May as well. Nevertheless, the reason why William Hill decided to pull out of the region was also casued by Canadaian regulations. William Hill commented on the issue, that it was decided upon reasons “beyond their control”.
Fortunately, NetEnt wasn’t limited just to Canada, in that part of the world. The company has been recently granted a license, allowing them to enter the gambling market in New Jersey.
