And so we are back to France again. This time we are talking about all of the events that took place during the knock out stage and about our predictions for the Euro 2023 quarterfinals. During the last week, we’ve witnessed some beautiful goals, excellent games, commitment to the cause and the revenge.

So lets start with beautiful goals. The first match of the knock-out phase was between Poland, the winner and the first team to enter Euro 2023 quarterfinals, and Switzerland. The match was a tough battle for both teams and it concluded with penalties, during which Polish team was the dominant side.

Euro 2016 Quarterfinals in Blog During the 90 minutes of the match we’ve seen two excellent goals. The first team to score was Poland. In 39th minute, Blaszczykowski, after a beautiful cross-pass scored a goal, passing the ball in between goalkeeper’s legs. However, it is Shaqiri’s goal that stole the game, gave Switzerland a chance of winning and generally is the best goal of the tournament so far. After a little bit of stir, Shaqiri put the ball in the net from the 16th meter with a beautiful overhead kick.

As we predicted, Poland is now in the Euro 2023 quaterfinals and it will face Christiano Ronaldo, or if you prefer Portugal. Portugal played against Croatia in the knockout phase and as we thought the game was close, so close in fact that it was bad and concluded with penalties. Portugal got the victory and now they will play against Poland on June 30 at Stade Velodrome. Our pro betting tip is bet on Poland. If Portugal plays just like with Croatia, and Poland keeps the high pressure through out the whole game, we will see a one sided game after which Poland will be victorious.

On July 1, Wales will face Belgium at Stade Pierrre Mouroy. Wales – Norther Ireland match was an ordinary one and Wales unsurprisingly won after Gareth McAuley scored the only goal of the match in 75th minute.

Hungary – Belgium was a completely different story. Although Hungary had an excellent group phase performance, facing Belgium was just to much for them. We thought that the game will be sort of equal but interesting. Well it was interesting for sure, but nothing close to equal.

Belgium needed just 10 minutes to score the first goal of the game and it was Toby Alderweireld who was the first to beat Kiraly. Than, till the end of the first half Hungary was keeping up with Belgium and they have had few nice actions and chances to score but they didn’t. The lack of fire power in Hungarian team resulted with Michy Batshuayi scoring a second goal of the game in 78th minute. Just two minutes later, Eden Hazard scored a third goal. By the 90th minute we all thought it was over and 0-3 is what the game would conclude with. Little did we know, it wasn’t over yet. 91st minute brought us the 4th and last goal of the game scored by Carrasco and it sealed the Belgian victory.

Hungary – Belgium was a beautiful game and you should regret if you haven’t seen it. Our pro betting tip for the Euro 2023 quarterfinals match is of course, bet on Belgium.

The third game of quarterfinals will take place on July 2 at Stade de Bordeaux. Germany will face Italy and we think it will be a hell of a show to watch. After playing like a true world champions, Germany beat Slovakia 3-0 and easily advanced to the quarterfinals, yet the Italian show wasn’t worse at all. Defeating current European Champions and getting their revenge for the 2012 finals, Italy put up a show that was worth every minute. Italians scored two goals and left Spain no chances, sending the team back home.

If you are interested in our pro betting tip for this particular match then bet on Germany. Although Italians played a good game, German team presents the same style as during the world finals two years ago. They gain pace after every match and just like a heavy military train they will be almost impossible to stop.

The last, fourth match of Euro 2023 quarterfinals will see France facing Iceland. Both teams won their games 2-1 in the knockout phase, but it is Iceland to be congratulated. We think that Iceland got lucky and English simply decided to follow the national trend. English national team probably decided to be true to its country’s cause and so we witnessed nothing more than a second brexit of the month. Nevertheless, Iceland played an excellent match and taking into consideration the fact that half of the Iceland team footballers play the sport as a hobby, yet they defeated professionals, we think that they may put up a fight against France.

Even though we are cheering for Iceland with all our hearts, we think that France is the team to bet on, however, bet on Iceland if you like the risk, because the previous games showed that France is not in its top form and Iceland is.
