Genesis Gaming is an excellent game developer. Their portfolio is full of games that are fun, rewarding and even damn crazy. It is no surprise then that we were genuinely happy to hear that genesis gaming decided to expand it portfolio and add another excellent slot, this time straight from China.
This new game is called Rise of the Empress and it is as great as the title suggests. Genesis Gaming fitted the game with five reels and twenty five paylines. The slot is placed in the picturesque Chinese mountains, and it looks like a hand made Chinese decoration and the Spin button is unlike any other button I’ve ever seen. As far as the symbol are concerned, Rise of the Empress has some neat looking ordinary symbols, such as warriors, classic A-9 symbols and empress herself. However, to make this Chinese themed slot a rewarding one, Genesis Gaming added plenty of special symbols and features.
The first special symbol is Wild, represented by a golden dragon statue. Wild substitutes for any ordinary symbol available in Rise of the Empress slot. It also triggers one of the special features, namely Wild re-spins, which has an increased multiplier feature that rises as long as we manage to catch 4 or 5 of a kind combinations.
There is also a Scatter, which triggers either a Royal Pick Feature or Free Spins. During the Royal Pick Feature we have to choose one of the three boxes in order to collect the prize, which can be as high as 100 times the total bet. Three Scatter symbol trigger 10 Free Spins with all the special features and possibility of triggering more free spins if you catch three Scatters once again.
There are also two extending Wild features called Wild reels and Added Wild Feature. The first one is triggered during the normal mode and it turns two random reels into Wild reels. The second feature is exactly the same, but it is triggered during Free Spins.
