Judge Joseph Dredd's first public appearance took place in 1977 in the British science fiction anthology "2000 AD" where the comics was published. Then the story of Dredd, the law enforcement officer inspired the movie producers so they created the motion picture in 1995 with Sylvester Stallone starring as the main character. The newest movie with brand new cast was released in 2012 in a 3D version. Now Judge Dredd makes his first steps in the world of gaming.
"Judge Dredd" is a 5-reel 25-payline slot released by NextGen Gaming. The first thing that stands out when you start playing it is the audio side of the slot. It is noticeable that someone wanted it to match the theme perfectly and it really does. Futuristic and robotic sounds will give you comapny throughout the whole gameplay. The objects found on the reels animate when hit a winning payline. The symbols appearing in the game are: Judge Dredd, Judge's badge, villains, Judge's equipment and the classics – A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9.
I have to admitt that the prizes are hit quite often, but to make the game even more exciting for the players, the creators of "Judge Dredd" equipped the slot with some special features.
First of all, there is a Judge Dredd image that serves as a Wild with the function of substituting any other symbol appearing on the reels except the scattered badge.
The other Judge Dreed "available" in this slot is not showing on the reels – he appears randomly after a paid spin, aims at you and shoots a prize for you.
There also is a Judge's gun attatched to the reels – you can place a super bet of 25, 35 or 50 coins to get the Dreed Wild Action – Wild reels in the Free Spin feature.
The Judge's badge is a Scatter in the "Judge Dredd" slot. Scatter wins are multiplied by the total bet staked and are added to the payline wins. Three or more Scatters on the reels indicate the Free Spin feature. You get 10 free games during which the prizes are doubled.
You have a chance of multiplying any prize in the optional Gamble round. The aim is to correctly guess the colour of a face-down card to double the prize or the suit in order to quadruple it. You can keep on trying until your choice is wrong, but then you lose your winning. Of course if you wanted to venture your prize just once – you would be able to collect it without further risk in a Gamble round.
Check out how profitable the slot can be by playing "Judge Dredd". He is the law. Obey.
