PAF, together with Microgaming, has launched a new online poker offering that is tailored towards players that are just starting to play the game.

The new offering includes a softer approach to the game along with ‘helpful instruction videos and full-service guidance’.

Herbert Paradis, head of poker for PAF said: “Beginners should be able to learn to play poker at their own pace and on a suitable level together with their poker peers.”

PAF has additionally partnered with Boss Media and Ongame Network Limited to offer different types of tables to cater ‘for every kind of player’.

Anders Wiklund, director for PAF commented: “With our new poker partner, Microgaming, PAF has been able to redesign the online poker experience. We want PAF poker to be a friendly place for hanging out and having fun with friends. Although there is still work to be done, this is definitely a big step in the right direction. 

“PAF wants to offer something new and unique, something that is non-exclusive in that it suits all players. We believe that this is where the growth potential is.”

Paf is now offering a new MPN Mac OS software. 

The new client is compatible with Mac operating systems, runs in the Adobe Air framework and has the same functionality as the MPN’s Instant Play client. 

Herbert Paradis, head of poker at Paf said: “We are delighted to be the first MPN operator to go live with the Mac-compatible download software. We know that our players who have Apple devices have been waiting for a downloadable client for some time and now that we’ve joined the MPN, we are better able to meet our customers’ needs.”

“Mac users are an important segment, but for years operators have been turning them away because they haven’t had dedicated software. The MPN is one of only a few networks to offer a Mac-specific client and we are excited to see the uptake from players,” commented Lydia Melton, head of network games at Microgaming. 

Anders Sims has been appointed as the new director of communications at Paf. 

Inger Holmström, who acts as the current director of communications, has reached the Swedish retirement age and will step down from her position but will continue to provide the company with her skills and expertise. 

“It has been a privilege to have had the chance to work closely with Inger and learn from her extensive experience within PR and communication. She has had a central role in creating the Paf we know today. I am also happy that she has chosen to continue working with us, though with fewer operative responsibilities,” said CEO Anders Ingves. 

Anders Sims has joined Paf five years ago, was appointed head of press and PR two years ago. He will now lead all internal and external communications at Paf. 

“At Paf, the company philosophy is that the company will grow by letting contributors grow within the company. During the time I’ve worked here, Paf has grown in many ways. Having learned from Inger and many other colleagues, I now feel ready to take on more responsibility within Paf. I am proud to be a part of the management group and to be able to contribute to helping Paf grow in a responsible way,” said Sims. 

Paf has signed a deal with Proactive Gaming, a Swedish game provider, to develop new online bingo games. This new collaboration will replace Paf’s arrangement with Parlay Games. Head of games at Paf, Kim Johansson, said that Paf hopes to develop the industry’s ‘best bingo product’ under the new collaboration.
