Nektan
According to the announcement from the online gaming technology provider, Leigh Nissim will become the new Nektan CEO in July.

Nissim is leaving IGT, another well known gambling software, cabinets and games developer, where he has been Commercial Director for IGT’s interactive division.

Nissim is considered as an industry veteran, mainly because of the over 11 years of experience with previous experience gained in St Minver and GTECH G2, where he worked prior to the IGT role.

Nektan announced that Nissim will take on his new role in late July. He will replace interim chief executive and company founder Gary Shaw. Shaw has held the role since David Gosen’s departed in January earlier this year. Even though Shaw is stepping down from the Nektan CEO job, he does not leave the company and he will take on a different executive role, namely the director of strategy.

Nektan chair Jim Wilkinson said: “We’re delighted to be appointing someone of Leigh’s calibre and experience to Nektan during this period of high growth and development. With his strong track record of successfully growing gambling businesses across our product verticals and within regulated markets, Leigh’s appointment will help Nektan continue its growth momentum and capitalise on new distribution and product opportunities”.

“The board is confident that Leigh’s digital and gaming pedigree, plus his financial background gained earlier in his career at Deloitte, will benefit the employees, customers and shareholders of Nektan as we enter the next chapter of our development,” he added.

Wilkinson has also thanked Shaw for fulfilling “a crucial role” after the departure of Gosen.

“As director of strategy, Gary will remain focused on adding value to the company through his significant entrepreneurial skills, in particular helping to develop the considerable opportunities available to the company in Europe and in the US through its joint venture Respin,” Wilkinson explained.
