Comic books with superheroes are always a good canvas for video slots and it's no different this time! Playtech made a really good job bringing Daredevil, the most famous blind comic book hero, into virtual life.
“Daredevil” is a 5-reel progressive slot with 20 paylines. High tech graphics and animations accompanied by pristine sound effects create a realistic world in which you will find the most popular characters from Marvel comics. On the reels you will find Bullseye, Electra, Kingpin, the killer nun chucks and some card suits. Each of these symbols impresses with individual animations, some of them are matched with bespoke sound effects. For example, the animation of the Daredevil symbol is related to the legend of Daredevil, who had lost his eyesight when a radioactive substance fell on his face. Therefore, the animation displays a close up of Daredevil’s eye and then everything goes smoky blue.

The Daredevil symbol works as the Wild symbol here, ready to jump in and take the role of any symbol except the Scatter and the Bullseye symbol.
When you hit three or more Daredevil Scatter logos, they will transform into Daredevil who will offer you10 Free Spins. This feature includes random Wilds, which will increase your chances for hitting a winning combo. Once the reels have stopped spinning, random Wilds will drop randomly in 1, 2 or 3 positions per spin. A nice twist is that the Free Spins can be retriggered over and over again!
However, the most interesting and exciting feature included in the “Daredevil” slot is the Bullseye feature. Before you spin the reels, you will be asked to place the translucent target sign on one of the 15 reel positions, and if the spin places the Bullseye symbol where you have desired it to be, you will be awarded with a triple of you total bet. The target will remain in the same place unless you move it and it will be only present during normal game play and not during the Free Spins.
All Marvel slots share a four level progressive jackpot known as Marvel Mystery Jackpot. Daredevil is no exception to this rule. The jackpot round is triggered randomly and can appear after any spin. Once the jackpot round is triggered you will win one of the jackpots, but you have to play a game in order to get to know which one you have won. You will see a grid of 20 squares, each of which hides the symbols of one of the jackpot levels. You will have to click on the squares to reveal the symbols. Once you find three identical symbols you will be awarded with the jackpot corresponding to that symbol.
A progressive way to the highest jackpot and an exciting theme based on Marvel comics is just what honey is for bees. I cannot think of a better combination!
