Not even a year has passed since it obtained a Spanish license and Amaya Gaming’s subsidiary Ongame poker network is withdrawing from the market.

Spanish e-gaming market was expected to grow by 15% between 2012-2014 and was promoted as having great growth potential by its proponents. Online poker made up 19% of the market.

It is speculated that Ongame’s decision was caused by the loss of its largest client – Paf, which launched with Ongame in June 2012 but decided to withdraw from Spain in February 2013.
