If you’ve ever read Marvel comic books, you have probably heard of the Ghost Rider, but for those of you who are not familiar with this character we will summerise the story. The Ghost Rider is stunt motorcyclist Johnny Blaze, who, in order to save the life of his mentor, agreed to give his soul to "Satan" (later revealed to be an arch-demon named Mephisto). At night and when around evil, Blaze finds his flesh consumed by hellfire, causing his head to become a flaming skull. He rides a fiery motorcycle and wields trademark blasts of hellfire from his skeletal hands. Scary, isn’t it?
Based on Marvel comic books, “Ghost Rider” is a 5-reel, 25-payline slots slot from Cryptologic. On the reels you will find many references to the Ghost Rider story, such as the Ghost Rider himself (in his two incarnations), his flaming Harley, his studded gloves, his enemies, and more strange symbols, such as a book with a pentagram. The graphics are beautifully dark and sleek and you will also notice some nice animations appearing on the reels when a winning combination is formed.
The game offers a few special features, such as Wilds, Scatters and Bonus games that will not only entertain you, but also award you with hefty prizes.
The Ghost Rider himself is the Wild symbol in this game. If you've played any sort of slots game before you know what the Wild symbol does – it completes winning combinations that are otherwise missing at least one symbol. When this happens, you will see the Ghost Rider breathing a huge cloud of fire at the screen, which is a pretty nice animation.
The Scatter symbol in shape of game logo will bring you nice prizes and good news is that it doesn’t have to appear on any payline to do so! What is more, if you catch 3 or more Scatters anywhere on the screen, the Bonus game will be launched. In it, you will have to rescue people from cars that are on fire. There are three stages and you will be asked to click on burning cars to attempt to save the people inside. The number of people you've saved by the end of the three rounds translates to a cash bonus – you can win up to 100 times your triggering bet for each successful rescue!
But it’s not the end of surprises! “Ghost Rider” is linked to three progressive jackpots: Hero Jackpot, Super Hero Jackpot and the biggest Marvel Hero Jackpot. These Marvel Jackpots are awarded randomly, so you don’t need any matching symbols to win them. However remember that the size of the wager determines the chance of winning a jackpot. In other words, the bigger your bet, the more chances you have to win one of the jackpots.
