“The Avengers” is a 5-reel, 9-payline slot from Cryptologic. It’s their newest slot based on Marvel comic books and definitely the most beautiful one. The graphics and animations are stunning and much more realistic then in other slots. On the reels you will find Captain America, Thor, Hulk and Iron Man, as well as Avengers logo, Thor’s hammer and 10, J, Q, K and A Irons. Each symbol displays a nice animation when included in a winning combination and you will hear some pleasant sound effects.

Captain America is Wild and can substitute for all symbols except for the Scatter. What is more, this symbol has one more even better function, but more on that later.

The Scatter symbol in shape of game logo not only awards nice prizes when at least 2 such symbols appear anywhere on the reels, but it can also trigger the Bonus round. To do so, you will have to catch at least three Scatters. In the Bonus round you will have to select logos to reveal prizes and multipliers. Keep selecting logos until Nick Fury is found. Then your multipliers will be added to your bonus credits and you will get your prize.

Although “The Avengers” is a Marvel themed slot, it is not linked to Marvel progressive jackpots. Instead, there are Crazy Jackpots to be won in this game. So what are these Crazy Jackpots? There are 9 of them, one for each payline. If 5 Captain America symbols appear on a selected payline, then that line’s Crazy Jackpot amount will be awarded. Each selected payline may win its corresponding Crazy Jackpot, but remember that the size of your wager determines the amount of the Crazy Jackpot that can be won. Each payline’s Crazy Jackpot has a different value, and if you bet max they will be much higher than jackpots linked to other Marvel themed slots.

All in all, we expected more from this slot, as all previous Marvel themed slots from Cryptologic were outstanding. Don’t get us wrong, this slot is also extraordinary, but we think Cryptologic could have added more special features, as there are as many as four superheroes in this game and only one of them triggers a special feature. It is, however, the most beautiful comic book themed slot from this software provider, so you should give it a go at least to see all those amazing graphics and animations. And don’t forget about those huge jackpots, which added together currently give a total of $978,225.12!
